Frequently asked questions

1- About TourManiaK

(1) Opening hours – HOURS – 10am > 4pm Monday to Friday (Saturday and Sunday, more urgent cases) – We respond via WhatsApp / email to our travellers and partners (HOLIDAYS > Rest).

(2) Service – As tourism in Portugal grows, so do the number of cases of people being scammed. The 100% Online service allows for written proof through the exchange of EMAILS, which is the only legal way to record in writing everything that has been contracted by the traveller.

(3) Office – TourManiaK does not have a physical office. We divide our time between answering emails at set times and working on the construction/organization/prospecting of products via teleworking.

(4) Branches – We don’t have any branches directly. We know the destinations on our platform, we don’t publish the unknown. It allows us to talk about each destination in the first person and our employees are an extension of TourManiaK.

2- Before travelling

(1) Check that you have ALL the necessary DOCUMENTATION up to date, you are solely responsible for it.

(2) If you are traveling by plane, pay attention to the dimensions and weight required (never take the maximum weight, yes, you will bring back some memories, think about them).

(3) Forget about your society for a few days and respect the destination you’re visiting, the people, their customs, traditions, gastronomy and you’ll enrich yourself culturally.

3- TourManiaK’s responsibility towards the traveller

TourManiaK assumes responsibility for the booking procedures. The characteristics and conditions of each product are the result of the information sent by the collaborators, who are solely responsible for updating them. TourManiaK therefore has no responsibility for any differences in the characteristics and conditions of the products that may be found during the course of the booking. Any changes to product features, photographs, confirmation conditions and booking cancellations communicated by employees to TourManiaK will be immediately implemented in the respective product information area for traveler information.

4- Traveler’s responsibility towards TourManiaK

The traveler is responsible for the veracity of all information relating to their personal identification provided to TourManiaK. Confirmation of the reservation always presupposes sending proof of the bank transfer of the amount of the respective reservation to the e-mail address info@tourmaniak.com (where necessary). The bank transfer receipt must be legible, indicate the number and date of the transaction, the destination account and the account from which the transaction originated. If the start date of the booking is less than 6 days before the booking is requested, bank transfer slips with an appointment date will not be accepted. The traveler must remain communicable and available to respond to any contact from TourManiaK’s reservations service. In the event of any anomalous situation, the traveler may also contact TourManiaK’s reservations support services at the time they notice these anomalies, so that the necessary steps can be taken to correct or justify them together with the TourManiaK employee, driver, guide, leader or representative.

5- Prices

The price of each product is set by TourManiaK and/or its employees, including VAT.

6- Bookings

When you make a reservation, you do not pay immediately (except for products with a deposit / guaranteed departures / last minute, marked “PAY NOW”, reservation and seats confirmed immediately). Depending on the product booked, we will confirm availability and you will then receive an email with information from us about the progress of the booking or immediate confirmation, with the corresponding link to make payment. Or with the cancellation of the booking request due to lack of participants or availability.

(1) PAYMENT – Must be made within the period stipulated on the platform. It can be made by one of the payment methods on the platform. Refund (see conditions when booking).

(2) REFUND – After registration and payment, a full refund will be possible if the minimum number of travellers is not reached. If the trip is confirmed, TourManiaK will not give a full refund. You may, however, be reimbursed in full by the cancellation insurance, if the reason is in one of the clauses provided for by the insurance.

(3) EMAILS – As TourManiaK a travel agency based in Portugal, the basis of the automatic emails are in English.

(4) TRAVEL INSURANCE – All products come with travel insurance included in the different products on the platform. The insurance can be for an activity contracted individually (employee insurance) or for a tour package contracted with several activities (TourManiaK insurance). Click & read the page!

(5) TourManiaK ASSISTANCE – All assistance is provided in 4 languages on the SUPPORT PAGE.

(6) WEBSITE – In English by default. Affiliates, partners & travellers can switch to another language, these being Portuguese, French & Spanish (automatic translation, may contain some errors in translation).

7- Extra Infos

(1) DEPARTURE POINT – Defined by TourManiaK and/or the Partner. Up to 3 main departure points, with the possibility of 2 more depending on bookings. Maximum 5 locations!

(2) TRANSPORT – Everyone books their own transportation to the defined departure point, so you can extend your trip by hours or days.

(3) FLIGHTS – When not included, it is up to the traveler to book once the minimum number of travellers has been reached and confirmed by TourManiaK by email. At the time of booking, we will send you a link so that you can freely choose your flight, departing from wherever and whenever you wish to your vacation destination.

(4) BAGGAGE – TourManiaK and its partners are not responsible for the baggage and other belongings you carry, regardless of the place or means of transportation used. In the event of loss, damage or destruction, you must immediately complain in writing to the service provider, keeping a copy of the complaint. We always recommend that you are with your luggage during loading and unloading operations, and that you read the travel insurance document that includes your luggage.

(5) PRE-BOOKING – Reservation and payment when the minimum number of travellers is reached. You will be informed by email.

(6) TRAVEL INSURANCE – All products come with travel insurance included in the different products on the platform, cancellation insurance already included (except for some products lasting 1 day or less, only with the product’s own insurance. See products). Just read the travel insurance document and understand its clauses.

(7) SEATS – When the product and its reservations are made 100% through the TourManiaK platform, the seats are assigned according to the date & time of reservation (not applicable for public transport such as flights, trains, regular buses, etc.). The first person to register goes first, the last person to register goes… 🙂 When bookings are shared with other partners and their platforms, seats are randomly assigned.

8- Cancellations

All services have conditions adapted to your needs and cancellations may vary. Check the conditions at the time of booking.
(1) – Soft cancellation: (1) Up to 6 days before – 80% refundable; (2) 5 – 4 days before – 40% refundable; (3) 3 days or less in advance – no refund
(2) – Flexible cancellation: (1) Up to 15 days in advance – 80% refundable; (2) 14 – 11 days before – 40% refundable; (3) 10 days or less in advance – no refund
(3) – Intermediate cancellation: (1) Up to 36 days in advance – 80% refundable; (2) 35 – 31 days before – 40% refundable; (3) 30 days or less in advance – no refund
(4) – Strict cancellation: (1) Up to 66 days in advance – 60% refundable; (2) 65 – 61 days in advance – 30% refundable; (3) 30 days or less in advance – no refund
(5) – Very strict cancellation: (1) Up to 121 days in advance – 40% refundable; (2) 120 – 91 days in advance – 20% refundable; (3) 90 days or less in advance – no refund
(6) – Custom cancellation: (1) sent at the time of the proposal, based on the services requested. (2) Non-refundable deposit amount. (3) Deposit amount including VAT.
